Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Ailingo. They govern your use of the platform and constitute a binding legal agreement between you and us.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ailingo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Ailingo is operated by Azamat Serik & Aikhanym Okassova, registered in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.
2. Description of Service
Ailingo is an AI-powered language learning platform that provides:
- Interactive lessons for learning English, French, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, and Kazakh.
- AI-assisted conversation practice, writing correction, and vocabulary building.
- Progress tracking including study streaks, XP, and personalised dashboards.
- Curriculum adapted to user types: students, professionals, exam candidates, children, parents, translators, and learners with disabilities.
The Service may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time. We will give reasonable notice where possible.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must create an account to access most features of the Service. You must provide accurate and complete information and keep it up to date. Account creation is handled via Clerk. You may sign up with an email address or a supported third-party provider (e.g., Google).
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at ceo@ailingo.net if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.3 Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent. For children under 13, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account.
3.4 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or are inactive for an extended period. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Transmit any content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its servers.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
5. Content
5.1 Our Content
All platform content — including lessons, exercises, audio, graphics, AI-generated text, and UI design — is owned by or licensed to Ailingo and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute this content without our prior written consent.
5.2 Your Content
You may submit responses, voice recordings, or other input as part of learning activities. By submitting content, you grant Ailingo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
5.3 AI-Generated Content
Parts of the Service use large language models to generate exercises, explanations, and feedback. AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We do not guarantee its accuracy and encourage you to use critical judgment, particularly for professional or exam-critical material.
6. Free & Paid Plans
Ailingo offers a free tier with access to core learning features. Premium plans may be introduced to unlock advanced AI features, extended content libraries, and offline access. Where paid plans are offered:
- Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise indicated, and may vary by region.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Refunds may be requested within 7 days of a charge if the Service did not function as described. Contact ceo@ailingo.net.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- AI-generated language content is always grammatically correct or culturally appropriate.
- Results obtained from the Service (e.g., exam scores, fluency improvements) will meet your expectations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ailingo and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Clerk for authentication, AI model providers). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Accessing third-party services is at your own risk.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, unless you are a consumer in a jurisdiction where local law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email or through a prominent in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
